FOUNDER, PRESIDENT AND CEO

Plenty of changes have occurred during Olivia’s two decades of experience in the neurodiagnostics field. In that time, she’s observed IONM not only becoming an integral part of surgeries, but growing in its application. After learning and practicing IONM for 10 years at the University of Kansas Medical Center, she joined a small IONM startup where she learned the ins and outs of traveling and practicing IONM for multiple hospitals across the Midwest. She then branched out on her own to provide IONM expertise starting with two surgeons at a single hospital. As the demand grew for providers of quality neurodiagnostics, she had to expand and hire other technologists to meet this need.

Today, nearly 15 years at the helm of Seastnan, she and her team currently cover cases at over 20 hospitals in Kansas City and the surrounding areas – with demand continuing to grow. It has been important for her to grow Seastnan carefully at first with a real focus on quality. With a solid foundation in place, the company she envisioned is becoming a reality. Her favorite thing about her job? Combining the entrepreneurial side of growing her company, while still being able to practice clinically and discovering new ways IONM can benefit patient outcomes.

Free time-funny! With three high schoolers and one in college, Olivia continues to find the joys of a thriving family and business. Oh yes, and squeezing in a few games of Mahjong with friends where she can.
